Do the Doodle

I'm bored sitting in this meeting. My meeting notes don't seem legible to me let alone anyone else. All I can hear is some words that keep me distracted all the while. I pen down some lines, some circles, some faces, some leaves, some flowers, with some shading - and lo and behold I have art being created.

Well not art really but yes Doodles as they are more popularly known as. The art of the bored mind. But what do they really mean? Do they have any significance as much as analysis that gets done on our signatures and handwriting to analyze our characters.

My inquisitiveness led me to this site
Doodle Decoder and here they have given explanations of what doodles mean. Well doodles apparently tell us about the state of mind of the doodler (ok! someone who doodles).

Till then doodle away to glory...hope it achieves art form status.

Talk to me!

I was watching the Simi Garewal show "Rendezvous with Simi Garewal" last night that takes a peek into the lives of celebrities. The thought I was left with is why is it that I as a viewer am interested in the lives of these celebrities. I wouldn't call in an intrusion of privacy because these celebrities are willing to share their lives with the viewers.

Is it just entertainment value or TRP ratings? Is it just publicity that they are looking for? Is it to justify what they had done?

What is it that makes people sometimes reveal their deepest secrets in front of millions? This is not limited to celebrities alone, even commoners find it as a effective instrument to let loose their secrets. Does this make their hurt/pain/fears lighter? Does this make them more recognizable and more in the public eye? I don't know if I will be able to do that, at most I can reveal my deepest secrets to very close friends/family members.

Besides I wonder if these secrets are really secrets and not just a concoction of what actually happened laced heavily with sensationalism spice that makes it sell on television. Whether I watch Oprah, Simi Garewal, Jerry Springer, Donohue or any other talk show host, this is an answer I still do not have.

Till then I'll probably continue watching these talk shows and look at people baring all their secrets to an unknown viewer like me. See you again same time next week for more about what goes on in the lives of people.

Rich Crime Rate!

I can kill and get away with it
I can rape and never regret it
I can break all the rules and yet be nonchalant about it

Why?
Because I have the contacts and deep pockets
Because I can mummify the witnesses with currency notes and bury the accusers in the depth of my influence

How?
Because I am rich and influential

When?
Anytime, Anywhere

Why? How? When? Are all the questions that you and I will keep asking. But the crux of the matter is the rich get away with anything. Of course there are some who do not manage it even with huge influences and deep pockets, but that is after one has crossed the threshold of crime. The threshold for the rich is way up than what it is for the middle class and the poor.

Sigh! What is this world all about - reeking of inequality.

What if..

Was at a Jethro Tull concert last night, and I must admit they rock even after being 35 years in the industry. They ofcourse sang most of their hits like Aqualung, Locomotive breath, Budapest etc.

After 2 hours they closed the concert, bid the audience a good night and "walked" off stage. For those who have attended concerts before would realize that most of the time there is demand by the audience for an encore and the artists then happily walk back onto stage. Of course the artist expects the audience to call them back on stage, it of course confirms their star status and gives a signature of approval to their performance.

But what if they expected an encore and the request didn't come...

Why this question? Simply because expecting that the audience will call them back, the artists keep their best song at the end for the encore perfomance so that they can sign off on a high note.
